I would like to thank you for your commitment to the needs of young Australians, in particular, those coming from disadvantaged and culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds. I commend you on the New Beginnings program, operating in south-east Queensland. I understand that New Beginnings focuses on early intervention for at- risk young people aged between 10 and 15 and that the program is highly valued by schools and community organisations in the region.

I wish you all the best as you continue your important work with young Australians.

Your work in developing the 'New Beginnings' program and camps is commendable. Responsibility for selection of programs and camps lies with the principal, who selects initiatives which best suit the needs of their students. You are welcome to continue approaching schools in relation to your camps.
